Help Albert SEE again

Donation protected
Albert and Kim Tabisula  (Highschool Sweethearts since 2010) recently celebrated their 1yr wedding anniversary this past January 2018.  In February, Albert got into two car accidents while at work driving his delivery van due to blurred vision in his right eye.  He just thought that his eyesight was getting worst and just needed stronger prescription glasses.

Albert eventually went to see the Dr. and that was when he was diagnosed with Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy (PDR) with Macular Edema.  Diabetic Retinopathy is caused by damage to the blood vessels in the tissue at the back of the eye (retina).  PDR is the more advanced form of the disease.  At this state, new fragile blood vessels can begin to grow in the retina and into the vitreous, the gel-like fluid that fills back of the eye.  The new blood vessel may leak blood into the vitreous, clouding vision.  It will only get worst and there is a strong possibility he might go completely blind if not treated.  In June, his left eye started to fail.

Due to his vision loss, Albert stopped working and eventually lost his job and medical.  He eventually jumped on Kim's medical but she too often stays home or takes off to take Albert to his monthly doctors appointments and is now the only and primary person paying for their medical bills.   Each appointment, Albert gets a  laser treatment and injections in his eye to delay vision loss.  The doctors that they have been seeing told them that there was nothing at all that can be done because it is "too advanced".  Kim did not believe it nor did she want to give up and began reaching out to friends and family living outer island/state/country for referrals. Kimberly began doing her own research and learned that Albert needs a Virectomy Surgery done.

Albert and Kim finally found a doctor on Oahu who stated he would take a look at Albert and get answers.  This Dr would then refer Albert to two retina surgeons (Queens Hospital) that may be able to treat his vision loss.  If the Dr in Oahu can treat his vision loss, Albert will undergo surgery and may have to stay on Oahu for weeks until Albert can heal which means Kim will need to time off of work but still be able to take care of the medical bills that have already added up.

Today, Albert can only see dark and light shadows, and some colors.   In a matter of 6 months, Albert went from being able to see, driving his delivery van and enjoying marriage life to not being able to see and depending on Kim to help him get to where he needs to go.  Albert tries his best to stay mobile but it gets difficult for him because of his vision loss, therefore causing his legs/feet to constantly get swollen.

We are hoping that this Dr can treat Albert's vision loss and that he may regain his vision again.  We hope we can treat it before he goes completely blind.

Kim and Albert has been going to church regularly, constantly praying for a miracle.  They are grateful that friends have begun praying for Albert -- even strangers who attend the church approach them and offer their prayers.

Albert is only 24 years old and it is hard to accept that at such a young age, he will miss out seeing all that life has to offer.  We humbly ask for your support, whether it is a monetary donation or even prayers for Albert and our family as we work together to keep Albert's spirits up.

Thank you in advance.
