Hello everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to check out my GoFundMe page. For those of you that don't know me or haven't seen me in a while, the reason why I started a GoFundMe account is I'm dealing with several injuries that are requiring surgery and making it very difficult for me to find limited work that I'm able to do in an already competitive town.
In the past few years, I've depleted my 401K and savings while waiting to get disability for my surgeries. I'm already late on my space rent this month and I have several disconnect notices and that's why I've broken down and finally admitted I could use some help.
The first injury I'm dealing with is my L-4 / L-5 in my back that I first injured in 2000 and then again in 2010 and then my second injury was my shoulder in 2014, my 3rd injury was my T-2 / T-3 in my back also in 2014. Then in 2015, my left ankle became my worst injury and that's the injury that's keeping me from doing a lot of things.
I first applied for disability back in 2016 so I could have some sort of income coming while I go through my surgeries and recovery time. I was denied disability after 11 months so I tried going back to work but I just couldn't do it and have now hired a lawyer that is helping me reapply but that could still take another 4-5 months before I get an answer and then possibly another month or two before I actually get the surgery done.
I tried but they won't let me do all my surgeries at once to help reduce the recovery time. I was told the recovery time with all my surgeries could be anywhere from 8-10 months. With my luck, it will take longer that's why I just need some kind of temporary disability.
I'm only needing disability while I go through my recovery time to help pay rent, bills and the most importantly, dog food and then I can get back to work and a normal lifestyle and cancel disability.
At this point, I'm not able to keep up with all my bills, space rent and maintenance on my trailer and Jeep. My furnace just went out in my mobile home on Friday and the mobile home needs some serious work that (update furnace has been fixed) and then to make things worse my Jeep is having engine problems and will probably die any day now. I think it's a rear main seal going out and again I have no way to fix it.
I finally came to realize that if I can't find a solution real quick I'm going to be without a vehicle and most of all, being only a few weeks away from possibly becoming homeless. Never in my life did I think I would ever get to this point, but it's happening to me right now.
The injuries I'm dealing with I'm told are not life-term injuries and once I have my surgeries done I can get back to work and a normal lifestyle.
I have handed over 600 pages of my medical records to the disability office and I have my doctors signing off on my surgery's and supporting me.
All I need is a little fixing up, but for some reason, it's taking forever to get approved for disability and I can't get my surgeries done without it.
If I was dealing with just one of these injuries it wouldn't be so bad except for the ankle, but with all 4 injuries at once, I'm very limited on what I can do and always in pain.
My goal right now with my GoFundMe account is to help pay my bills that I'm only delinquent on, get my furnace fixed right away and try to either fix my Jeep or get another vehicle OR if at all possible buy a cheap RV and get out of paying bills until I can get back on my feet again.
Once I have my surgery's and get back on my feet again I plan to pay it forward and help someone else in need. It would be the only right thing to do.
