Mexico Earthquake Relief

A very strong earthquake has affected my home city, Mexico City.

My name is Mauricio Korbman, born and raised in Mexico City. While today I live in Newton, Massachusetts, my heart always turns towards the city of my birth. Today, while commemorating the 32nd anniversary of the deadly earthquake in 1985, Mexico City was shaken once again, with dire consequences. More than 100 people have been confirmed dead so far, many buildings have collapsed. There are children trapped under a school building, many are feared dead. All kinds of tools and heavy equipment are needed, food and water is needed NOW. All funds raised here will be used in several ways: 35% will go to the Red Cross in Mexico - https://www.cruzrojamexicana.org.mx/,   another 35% will go to CADENA, a non profit organization that provides emergency relief during natural disasters: https://cadena.ngo. The remaining 30% will go to purchase food, water, clothing, tools and any other items that can be delivered directly to different emergency shelters and  collection centers throughout Mexico City. Members of my family in Mexico will personally purchase and deliver these items. All the funds will be moved to my personal bank account and from there they will be transfered to the above mentioned recipients. All movements of money will be posted here as they happen for full transparency. LET'S HELP NOW!
