I am Kenzie, sister of the beast herself. This call upon our friends, family, and everyone that has a bit to spare, is on behalf of Hannah Elaine Strange. If you have ever met and gotten to know her, she is a TRUE gem. One of the most honest, loyal, reasonable, tough, considerate, loving humans that live in this wild world. Hannah gives, advises, comforts, protects, loves, challenges, changes, enlightens, uplifts, inspires, frees, nurtures, understands, relieves ANY and EVERY person she encounters. I have never known a better person so it utterly breaks my soul to see the changes that have fallen upon her body and system lately. It was not very long ago that she would work 2 jobs, have multiple side projects in the making, drove MILES AND MILES to show up for anyone who needed it, kept home, maintained relationships, and was somehow able to handle the juggle with very few beads of sweat. While she is a true hero, she is not invincible and has recently found out she has a very large (The size of a chapter book) mass developing inside her chest and it encases her aortic arch which has caused a significant strain on her. There is a handful of things on her medical list now that the doctors are finally figuring out such as an additional small bowel loop or obstruction where the tissue is measuring 5cm. While the treatment rate of her cancer is very high and she is being so strong and optimistic, I am working my hardest to make the next steps as easy on her as I can.
She has had to call out of work a lot recently because she is experiencing more severe symptoms of lymphoma lately, and is struggling to physically and financially stay afloat. Once treatment really narrows down and the ball gets rolling I know things are going to get even harder. I am asking literally anyone and everyone for help on this. Please can we help keep her afloat. The stress of not having money for bills and food is REAL when you work all the time let alone having to call out and/or take medical leave. We will be working with a caseworker to check her qualifications for any state help through this as well because this is going to be one of the all hands on deck situations. Hannah would never ask for money or physical help even if she was starving and paralyzed, and even then she would give anything she had left for someone who is in need.
The last few years have been absolutely insane as far as stress and the universe really laying it on thick in this family but we have managed to hang on and keep f#cking going. Our knees are buckling a bit on this one. We are all scraping by, and she is in no shape to be scraping right now. She needs all she can to focus on resting and getting to a point of recovering. Please if you have anything, Lady Strange could use a positive message, a vegan meal, good vibes, help with the fort, help with her bills. We are all very positive and realistic, but we are also scared. I do not want Hannah to have to fear of losing her job or home or friends or hope.
*** UPDATE***
Hannah has started treatment. Chemotherapy is very rough stuff and has taken a toll physically and emotionally, but she is making it through each day and each challenge she has been faced with. I have never been more proud of a human and it just grows and grows as she fights through cancer on top of her incredible life.
When you all have reached out to help her it has really brought so much sunshine and relief to her in such a trying and difficult situation. We are so thankful for all of you for sharing and spreading love into our lil world (especially Hannah's)
