Star's Medical Expenses

Star is our rescued afghan that came to us from PA after being let out, abandoned and on her own for several weeks. She is 7 years old and became part of  our family 4 years ago. From the beginning she let us know she intended to be the boss. She is high spirited, strong willed and full of energy-she has filled our lives with love and joy. Last Sat. night she started coughing and throwing up clear mucus. Sun. morning her dad took her to the 24 hour emergency vet where she has been since. She has been diagnosed with a hole in her lung. She has been on oxygen, machines to remove air from her lungs and had a procedure where they took blood from her and injected it into the lung in hopes it would seal up the hole-acting like a bandage. One lung is no longer leaking air, some is still coming out of the other. She is still in ICU and being monitored. She may or may not need surgery. We love her to pieces and are missing her at home. We want to do whatever we can to help her.This is not comfortable asking for help for her medical expenses but our funds have run out. We appreciate and are greatful for any contributions.
