Giving Back to the Lytles

WARNING:  We are trying to keep this a surprise, so forward, but do not POST on FB!  If you have received this, it is because you know first hand that Reed and Holly truly are super heros.  They have helped so many children touched by autism obtain therapeutic interventions that they could not otherwise afford.  I am not sure that all of you know how much of an emotional toll the ISAAC Foundation has had on the Lytle family.  Just imagine . . . . every event, every new applicant, every new donor, every new volunteer, and even complete strangers who ask about the logo on Holly's shirt or Reed's hat creates a moment when Reed and Holly have to relive the most horrific day of their lives.  Then there is all of time donated to organization (much more than a full time job), volunteers in and out of your house all day (so they don't have rent expenses), and of course all of the money they themselves spend on the organizaiton.  Did you know that Reed and Holly even buy their own tickets to their events?  The truth is that no matter how positive Reed and Holly are about the ISAAC Foundation, it does add a lot of extra stress to their marriage and their family.  In true Lytle form, they put everyone else's needs above their own.  Additionally, their own children need therapeutic services and because of an insanely high deductible, they are left with very little spending money.

Last summer was Reed and Holly's 15th wedding anniversary.  Reed had begun to plan a getaway to celebrate and had asked me to help with kids (which I gladly accepted).  Unfortunatley, unexpected financial expenses prevented them from going.  I would like to help celebrate their "15th Anniversary" this summer.  I have postponed my 40th birthday trip which is the end of June to hopefully allow for Reed and Holly to accompany us to Hawaii 6/29-7/6 to celebrate their annivesary.  If any of you want to join us in Hawaii, please let me know ASAP, so we can coordinate details.  Derek and I reserved a 2 bedroom condo on the beach.  We are absorbing the extra lodging fee and rental car fee, which will save them over $1800.  Having the condo will also allow us to cook meals there to save money.  We would like to raise $2000 to cover their airfare.  Anything above this amount will go toward spending money and possibley childcare for the kids at home.  If anyone can help with arranging childcare please let me know. They can always come to our house and stay with our kids, but they won't know the babysitter, and I don't think that is a preferred situation.  If we can raise money quickly, then Holly maybe able to help secure childcare.  

All we need is 80 donations at $25 to make this happen!

Reed and Holly are the most inspiring, giving, loving people I know, and I would really love for us to be able to give back to them somehow.  I would like to include each donor name in a card.  If you would like to include a special message, please include it in a direct message to me.  Everyone who donates will be invited to accompany us when we surprise them with the gift.  
If we don't raise enough money to cover the cost of airfare.  I would still like to present what we raise to them to cover a mini vacation.
