Upriver Against Cancer - Jason Fechner

To mark 10 years since my mom won her battle against breast cancer, and to give encouragement to two friends currently fighting it, I'll kayak for 12 hours straight on the Mississippi River, back-and-forth between Davenport, Iowa and Rock Island, Illinois on Saturday, June 7th, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. All money raised will be split between Gilda's Club of the Quad Cities and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. As a news anchor with WQAD in the Quad Cities, we're inviting others with kayaks and canoes to come join us on the water as we work with several community groups to raise as much money as possible along the banks of the Mighty Miss...
