Mike Sears Memorial Fund

Where do I start. I have never asked for a handout from anyone, my dad taught me early if you want something you work for it. My Dad had a massive stroke a few years ago and lost the ability to work and take care of himself. His wife at the time left him right after the stroke with only the cloths on his back. He had no savings, but worked his entire life. My wife and I took on his care almost 3 years ago, which was not easy task with a growing familiy of my own. Over the years his condition has worsened greatly with the onset of dimensia about 1.5 years ago. We completly depleted what little savings we had over a year ago, and continue to fall deeper with his medical bills, Medications, Housing and countless supples for is care. He is also slowly losing the ability to walk and needs a wheelchair most of the time if someone is not assisting him. He has been in and out of the hospital. The last stay was especially hard, spending 3 weeks due to gastric issues he has been dealing with since childhood. Life is not easy we move through life so fast that we rarley have time to take a breath or stop and truly appreciate what we have and who we love. My dad was always a dreamer, always living for the day never thinking about tomorrow. He is a very caring person, not wanting to hurt or burden someone even if it meant he would be on the losing end. He is still that way except he is the one that needs the care, and all i want to do is give him the best care possible with what time we still have together. He was not always the best Dad, but he always did the best he could for me and my siblings. Thank  you and i hope you can find it in your heart to help him in anyway you can. Matt
