Chelle Morrison is an amazing person and an even better friend. If you're reading this, you likely already know who she is. If not, Chelle's an Austin small business owner, a big sister at Big Brothers/Big Sisters and was recently named the 2014 Austin Fashion Week Philanthropist of the Year. She's always the first to volunteer her time and resources when she is able to make a positive impact on her community.
Chelle is also the proud pet parent of three dogs, Skip, Jessica, and her Yorkshire Terrier, Buffy.
Last week, Buffy became severely ill (we'll spare you the graphic details). She was taken to the vet for thorough testing and was placed on meds. She seemed better at first but on Sunday morning, she relapsed. After another visit to the vet, an ultrasound showed that something was lodged in her intestines. Doctors performed surgery and found a piece of rubber, most likely from a toy.
Chelle's first response was to remind everyone to be conscientious about throwing away toys when they start to come apart. Buy high quality toys to try and prevent episodes like this happening to your animals.
