Help Fund Trevor's Power Wheelchair

On November 16th 2012 my life changed forever. During a routine thumb surgery for a work injury, I unfortunately sustained a Spinal Cord Damage causing me to become paralyzed from the waist down. I spent a total of 10 months in 2 hospitals and at GF Strong Spinal Cord Injury Rehab Centre. Since my discharge in JUly 2013 I have been fighting with the Ministry of Social Development, to fund me a power chair, which I require to have a good quality of life, to go back to work and school. I have appealed the decision mulitple times and each time have been denied based on the fact that i have some limited mobility in my hands arms, despite them knowing that solely relying on a manual chair to do basic life task, creates my hands to weaken greatly to the point they have become extremely numb and unable to grip most objects. Because of the decline in my mobility I have yet to return to work as my job requires me to have hand function, in order for me to return to work fully the power chair will decrease the amount of strain put on my upper limbs that comes from pushing the manual chair around. Power chairs are priced brand new from $10000-16000 depending on the make/type of chair and the speicialy seating requirements. I have been able to find a chair that has been referburshied and was only used for just under a year by the previous owner. the cost of this chair is 2500 and 500 for the type of cushion i require for my level of injury. I have exhausted all funding resources that I am aware of, and slowly slipping into a dark hole of depression, because I am unable to do the things I need to do to have a normal as possible life> your donation will help me get my life back, and give me a comfortable safe form of mobility, which in turn will allow me to continue to thrive in this new Journey of Spinal Cord Injury.
