As many of you know, Stephen's 3 month old nephew, Lucas, passed away last week due to unknown causes. Stephen is currently in Virgina helping his family cope with their grief and make arrangements for the funeral, etc. His entire family is heartbroken and so grateful that he is there with them. It is such a blessing that he is able to be there, but being away is bound to cause him some additional stresses, especially once he returns to his day to day routine in Pasadena.
Stephen is missing a lot of work to be with his family, and undoubtedly has additional expenses since he has been traveling. Like many of us in seminary, his income is very fixed and his budget is really tight. The lost wages and additional expenses will undoubtedly cause him stress. So, I figure if we could all donate a little money ($5-$10, or whatever you can) we could make a big difference in easing that burden when he returns. I know we are all on a tight budget, but whatever you can give will undoubtedly be greatly appreciated.
He doesn't know about this page, so please don't mention it to him. We'll present him with the gift when he returns. If you would like to donate, please do it now. Stephen may return as soon as next weekend, and we would like to give him this gift when he gets back.
