Help us save Chichi

We rescued chichi 6 years ago in the streets of Caracas, Venezuela, being an adult dog, he was in a deplorable condition, with much love we made him recover. He became part of our family, 3 years ago we brought him to Miami with us.

The last year has been very difficult in economic terms for us as a family, we had a baby and Nala (our other dog) was diagnosed with a mass in her abdomen just before our baby was born, Nala was operated on but everything got complicated in her condition, throughout this year they have had to perform 3 additional interventions, there have been many examinations and medications, we have paid more than 8000 dollars to improve, money that we have not even finished paying, we had to ask for credits to pay for it at the time. For 2 months, Chichi has been suffering from a cough, a progressive deterioration in his ability to breathe and he has lost a lot of weight, we were at the vet twice with him, they did different tests without finding a diagnosis, between those two visits we had to paying around $ 1200, they sent him a treatment that didn't make him improve at all so today we went back to the vet. But we did not have the prognosis they told us about, they told us that his entire abdomen is full of fluid that seems to come from heart failure, he is very weak, they tell us that his condition is critical and they must leave him hospitalized today, 5 November 2020, the bill is already at $ 2000 and the veterinarians explain to us that they will continue to do tests to find out which is the best treatment or procedure to follow but that the truth is that whatever that treatment is, it will be quite expensive, as it could include weekly visits to the vet and even regular surgeries to drain fluid from his body. They have proposed to put him to sleep but we believe that it is not fair to do so if there really is a way to get him out of this critical state and give him a little more time with us. Those $ 2000 that we have to pay today, we do not have it and we do not have the money to pay for the next steps of your treatment, running this campaign in the hope of raising it is the only hope we have to help you get out of this. Chichi is an amazing dog, he has taught us so much. Please help us save him, every dollar counts, and this family will thank you forever.
