Greetings Friends and Family,
Welcome to our page to support my Brother, Travis Moody. Travis was born in Trail, BC and grew up in the small mountain community of Fruitvale, BC. Most recently Travis has resided in Creston BC with his parents, Cheryl and Ken.
In a way that many men in BC can relate to, he travelled to and from the Northern Alberta region, where he was employed as an Ironworker, working to provide a better life for his young daughter.
Tragically, Travis sustained life threatening injuries after a 120 foot fall on May 2nd, 2014 into a canyon located on the outskirts of Creston. His injures include multiple fractures, including numerous skull fractures and severe but still specifically undetermined brain injury, with testing to commence in the days to come.
He was airlifted to Kelowna shortly after his fall on May 2nd (420 Kms away), where he remains in critical condition with his family by his side. Given that his parents are away from their jobs, their home, and were unprepared for such a tragedy (which no one expects), there are mounting financial costs to their round-the-clock continued presence at his bedside in the Kelowna Hospital.
We have started this effort to assist with his continued care, as well as his future needs and to ensure that his 7 year old daughter, who remains in Creston with his Great Aunt, will be taken care of during this time and during the extremely long recovery process.
