My name is Michelle Thornburg. My friend Jessica Edgeworth and her fiance Kyle Nelson and thier nine week old son Connor have been through some trying time. Kyle was accetped into the Michigan State Police Academy in January. During this time he worked extremly hard to keep pace with the requirements of the academy. Thier son was born a month early in late February. Kyle, still trying to complete his training was with his family on the weekends and spent the weeks at the academy.
This week while completing a standard drill, in a controlled environment, Kyle took a hit just right. The hit to his head caused a bleed within his brain. Kyle has had surgury, he is fighting hard to recover. Thier Michigan State Police (MSP) family has been by thier side through this entire process, being sure to hold thier hands when they need. With only a month of training left until graduation, Kyle will have a long road to recovery.
