<div>Hello everyone, I am Brian Golub, an actor that worked with Carl at The Actor’s Playhouse multiple times starting in 2003. I am also the owner of Uncle Brian Wellness. My business helps people in their journey of healing and I know this will help heal Carl’s spirit so much!

<div>As you may or may not know Carl is proud to have been an Equity Stage Manager for 25 years before the pandemic. Then in January of 2021, in the middle of an already challenging shutdown, Carl suffered a major stroke. Unfortunately, he has not yet recovered the use of his legs or his left arm, and he has experienced other serious health complications along the way. Thankfully he is stable now, although mostly bedridden and home, and he still needs a lot of care.

<div>His very devoted wife, Andrea, who is also in show business, has been taking care of him now for 4 years since the stroke. Carl is mostly at home all day and in bed due to them not having a van that can get his wheelchair in and out easily. Andrea has been able to take him on short walks in his chair or out in the back yard but if you know Carl, he loves theatre and people and would love to get to see shows, go places other than his home, go to Dr. appointments easier, and be more social. We know what a life in theatre can mean and when not seeing people all the time over the last 4 years, he needs to get out of his living room!

<div>The constant costs of hiring medical vans to pick him up etc to go places is not realistic to continue on to get him out of the house and where he needs to be!

<div>Recently, I got to visit Carl, (see pic above), and as I walked in the door his big smile and bright eyes lit up, yet he was kind of stuck in his living room due to their situation. Also, Andrea is in danger of hurting herself by trying to get him in and out to places without the proper vehicle, so I thought, why don’t I try to raise money to get Carl a van so he can have the means to see theatre, be social, sit by the beach, get to his doctors, see friends and heal his spirit!

A dear friend, Christy, had started a go fund me page when his stroke happened and had been able to get funds to help them out medically, but those funds are used up and this is a brand new ask.
