Medical Emergency

Fast forward to April 26, 2014 when I received a heartwrenching call. Aaron had been involved in a motorcycle wreck. I left work and got to his side as fast as was humanely( and legally) possible. A car had made a left turn in front of him and he was hit by that car while on his way to get his car to pick up our sons. His injuries are extensive but not life threatening. He has multiple compound fractures in both legs, a broken arm, two broken vertebrae in his back and had both a laceration on his kidney and spleen. The neurologist on his case believe he can be out of work for upwards of a year. This leaves all daily expenses of rent, utilities, daycare and groceries on my job. We cannot make it without help from others.

Aaron is a hardworking, wonderful man who loves his family more than anything in this world and he is devastated he cannot provide for his family.

A little back story on my family. I met Aaron when we were both juniors in high school and immediately sparks flew. He became my best friend and I knew I wanted to spend my life with him. He had always had the dreams of becoming a U.S. Navy sailor and in 2008, the same year we graduated high school, he entered boot camp in Chicago. It was hard and demanding to try and have a relationship with a phone call every few months but we made it work and it was all completely worth it when I saw his face so full of pride when graduating boot camp. October 2008 we got married and he was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. January 18, 2009 our lives changed when our baby boy, Aidyn, was born and again September 26, 2010 when our youngest baby boy, Zachery, was born. Aaron decided he wanted to spend his time with his family instead of being gone from us constantly and not watching his boys grow up so in August 2012 he was no longer spending his days on a Navy ship. Once we moved back to Alabama Aaron started working at HyrdaTech assemblying hydralic cylinders. His work is labor intensive with 12 hours shifts mostly. He loves it and love the fact that he is working hard to support his family. He is a hardworking, dedicated, wonderful father to our boys and I am so lucky to have fallen in love with him at 16.
