If you know me, you know how hard this is for me to write. I’ve always been independent and hate asking for help, especially if I can’t give something in return. But after being accepted into an incredible engineering program at a university in Cardiff, Wales, I’ve decided to push past my pride and take a leap of faith.

This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity I never thought I’d get. I’ve been doing everything I can to save up for tuition, books, and living expenses. I’ve even been working in commercial fishing, despite having a deep fear of the ocean. It’s been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but I’m willing to do whatever it takes to build a better future.

Unfortunately, it still isn’t enough. So I’ve created this GoFundMe in the hopes that, with a little help, I can make this dream a reality.
