Laugh Art Loud With Woodmore D.I.

Destination Imagination is a competition for creative students all over the world. Our teams each chose one of the 6 challenges in October and worked on our solution to it (our skit) until March, and continue to work on it now. We have worked hard the entire year, totaling more than 400 hours to prepare for competition. Secondary level team members include juniors Chelsey Ivy, Kanna Sasscer, and Autumn Converse, and sophomores Kevin Baumgartner, Jordan Villegas, Rebecca Berry, and Zoey Finch. The team manager is Mrs. Ellen Saffran. Middle level team members include Loren Taylor, Kiersten Flick, Nick Bittle, Marty Perkins, Phoebe Jackson, Reagan Draegar, and Johanna Coutcher. Their team managers are Mrs. Whitney Flick and Mrs. Krista Jackson. The Unknown Sounds and Extreme Team both came in second place at State competition and have earned the right to advance to Global competition.  Our school district principal, superintendent and treasurer have chosen not to financially support us for this competition, so we have to fundraise the entire amount ourselves. The total fees are $8,000 for these two teams to go to Knoxville, TN for the Global finals. There, we will compete against all 50 states, 7 canadian provinces, and 13 other countries.  We are the FIRST high school team in the history of Woodmore DI EVER to qualify for Global competition, and the middle school team was the first team EVER to go to Globals from Woodmore.
