8th grader diagnosed with cancer

The sad truth about cancer is that we all know of a family member or friend who has battled cancer or is currently trying to beat cancer. Two weeks ago, the Mendez Middle School/Dove Springs Community learned that one of our 8th grade students was diagnosed with lung cancer. Although the student is currently receiving the best medical care possible in Austin, the family is in desperate need of financial assistance to help defray the cost of battling this horrible disease. Mendez Middle School and the Dove Spring Community are asking for donations (no amount is too small) to help support a great young person and his family. Thank you for considering our request.
