8th Grade OBX Trip 2017-18

The students at Asheville Middle School are surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. They have been able to experience all that the mountains have to offer. But many of our students have never and some may never have the experience to see the ocean. 

This culminating 8th grade trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina serves a multitude of purposes. The trip allows our students to strengthen their community bond, it caps off their middle school experience and most of all it allows each of them to carry with them the shared experience of the beach- something they will forever have in common. 

We, as a faculty at AMS, vow that every child who wants to attend the OBX trip, does. No one stays behind becasue of the financial burden of the trip.

Each year, 30% of our 8th graders require scholarship assistance, that's between 65-70 students. They deserve this opportunity as much as any one else. 

The total cost of the OBX trip is $450 for four days and three nights- all inclusive.  We will travel to OBX in March of 2018.
