8th Annual Xmas Shoes for Kids Fundraiser

Eight years ago we started the Christmas Shoes Program. After many years of supporting programs such as Adopt-A-Family and Angel Tree, we were inspired to do more. We see children daily wearing shoes that are worn and dirty, or shoes that no longer fit, and some children don't have any shoes at all. It is for this reason that we decided to focus our efforts on providing shoes for children at Christmas and we began by approaching friends and family for donations.
Over the past seven years we have been able to provide over 3,800 children in need with a new pair of shoes. This year, we want to raise the goal and provide another 1,000 children with new shoes this Christmas!
Each year we team up with Tabernacle of Higher Learning Christian Center to give vouchers for shoes to parents since they are already there for the church's holiday food basket giveaway. This year we are also teaming up with the Turning Point Homeless Outreach Program and The Salvation Army to help reach more people in need in our community! Following the food basket giveaway from 4-8PM, we will meet the parents and their kids at Walmart where they can redeem the voucher, allowing the children to pick out a new pair of shoes all on their own.
Please help us reach our goal this year to provide shoes for 1,000 kids ($20.00 each child). A donation of any amount is a blessing! $100 can provide 5 kids with a new pair of shoes!
We also welcome volunteers to join us at Walmart to experience the spirit of Christmas!
