Tim Rexin's Housing Fund!

My name is Anna Fuqua-Smith and I live in Ypsilanti, MI. I attend school at Eastern Michigan University majoring in International Affairs and Spanish. I first read Tim's story in the Ann Arbor News on May 1, and gathered with all of the comments both funneling in to Facebook and the news site, I took the iniative to start a GoFundMe page for Tim.

I do not know Tim, but know enough that veterans in this country don't have enough support and shouldn't even have to be homeless after serving for our country. I have tried contacting Tim to let him know of this page and what the community is trying to put together for him. When I do have contact with him, I will update here. And if Tim is willing, I will happily drive him to Chase bank so he can pay his account off, and then the rest of the money will be deposited to his account.

I also pledge to keep this page public furthering my accountability to the community in my mission to get this money to Tim.

Some of you may have read the coverage in the Ann Arbor News recently about Tim Rexin. For the last year, Tim has been living in the Delonis Center while trying to save enough funds to move out and obtain a home of his own. Recently, he became the victim of a scam called PineCone Research where he wired money to several places in the US in an attempt to move out and start a life of his own. Tim is also a disabled veteran, having also served in the United States Navy in 1980.
