I am wanting to secure this beautiful old vessel, the view is to use her for a pilot program for Blue Water therapy, a little about the boat, it has been lovingly cared for and is in great condition, its a 1956 ex racing yacht, and can easily accommodate 6 people, at any one time, it is a one of a kind, custom build, known as a Colin's 35 er, and has sailed the world, with a strong heretic and proven history.

We plan to run trips in the local bay area initially, just modest outings, some snacks, light refreshments, the view is for it to be funded by a combination of NDIS, and also voluntary, and we will run it via donation normally. I will be personally responsible for the running and maintenance costs initially, during the trial period.

Sadly I had invested considerable money in a previous vessel, my life savings actually, and during relocation was forced to sail her myself, into a storm, it was my first vessel, I was inexperienced, and I was meant to be guided in by the local coast guard, into a nearby inlet, I also fell unwell, was left out in the elements for two days and two nights, broke anchor in the middle of the night, faced gearbox failure, and was dragged into breaking surf, then onto near by rocks...

I lost basically everything, including personal items, but learnt a valuable lesson, your own your own in a crisis such as that, it can be life or death, with literally minutes to decide, I chose to sacrifice the vessel, instead of myself...

This is the first time in my life I have ever put the cap out so to speak, for something like this, I feel personally like its a worthwhile cause, in saying that, I've already compiled the draft business plan and performed the required research and feasibility study and its quite financially viable.

The money raised will allow to purchase the vessel outright, any additional money raised will go towards any immediate improvements, and a modest initial advertising budget, any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you!!!

A little about me, I've been working in the areas of mental health for around 10 years now, primarily in arts based therapies, with a broad gamut of people, from all walks of life, primarily those who have slipped trough the cracks, of what we commonly refer to as society, and I derive a lot of pleasure from it, but volunteering doesn't pay the bills sadly...

The money raised from this will also provide and help secure employment for me once the pilot is established, via a variety of funding bodies and opportunities, and also help me to personally get back on my feet.
