Italy Basketball Trip

Donation protected
Letter from Kyla:
In July of 2013, I attended a NBC basketball camp in Nampa Idaho at the College of Northwest Nazarene University. During that camp I was scouted by the advisers and coaches of colleges to go overseas on an international tour. I was the only girl selected at this one certain camp to represent the United States. I also am the only girl from Idaho selected to go to Italy, along with girls from other states. This is a huge honor considering the talent many athletes have in the state of Idaho.
On July 20th, I will be flying into Seattle to meet my coach and teammates. July 22nd, we will by flying into Rome, Italy. We will be visiting areas in Italy such as Venice, and Bologna; planning to return on July 31st. During the days in Italy, we will be touring the cities to learn about the culture and history. In the evenings we will be playing competitive basketball. Throughout our stay, we will be staying in hotels in the different areas.
This achievement is a huge step for me because my dream, since the age of five years old, was to pursue a career in basketball. I have not only achieved my dream, but have gone beyond my dreams. After my trip to Italy for 10 days, I will be attending Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon to join the college basketball team for two years. During this time I plan to obtain an associate's degree in exercise science. My love and desire for basketball has encouraged me to one day become a coach and teach kids how to love the game as I do.
My hard work in training has paid off for me in reaching my goals and dreams. I have played on traveling basketball teams in Boise and Mountain Home traveling to areas such as Reno, Nevada, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Colfax Washington with my basketball teams to compete in competitive basketball tournaments. I have attended numerous basketball trainings and camps to better myself to become a more competitive athlete.
For my Italy vacation, I have to pay approximately $5,300. My grandparents, Raymond and Donna Robison paid my first $1000 dollars. I now owe about $4,300 dollars to NBC camps by June 1, 2014. I plan on working around this community doing yard work, babysitting, and helping in any way I can in hopes of raising money for me to be able to have this amazing opportunity.
I appreciate your time. I hope to add your support to my list of supporters.
Thank you for your consideration,
