Funeral for Vietnam Veteran

My father is a Vietnam Veteran who has gotten almost no help from the VA. He was diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer's in 2012 since then I've tried to get life insurance for him but since he couldn't answer any questions over the phone he was denied by every place even the supposed guaranteed acceptance places. He is now in his final days of his life and I don't know what to do. I've been told to donate his body but I can't do that considering I feel the VA at the least owes him his color guard and his flag. Many of his friends and family can tell you what kind of man he was before this awful disease took him over. He would do anything for anyone he could always make you laugh regardless of your mood and boy did he have an answer/comeback to everything. Its been a struggle watching him slowly lose that person he once was. I've been caring for him since June 2012 and would really appreciate any help we can get to give him what he deserves.
