Brett's Run for Eden's Leukemia Fight

EDEN: My friend Brett is in my class with Ms. Walsh at Long Lots. When he learned of my fight with Leukemia, he was moved to help me some how. He remembered his own time in the hospital and all the needles and he wanted to do something, so he asked his mom if they could run a race for me! We were all so touched by this selfless gesture, we decided to start a new GoFundMe Page just for Brett's Race. We also decided as a family to donate a portion of what is raised to one of the Leukemia survivor organizations that we have been connected to. We still need time to decide which organization & how much, but Brett & I will work with our parents over the next couple weeks to figure everything out. Thank you Brett!!!

BRETT: Before I learned Eden had leukemia, I cared about cancer, but not as much as now. When you learn a friend has cancer, it changes everything. I want to do this because I want every child to be healthy, especially Eden. Eden has always always been very nice, kind, and funny. She's such a good friend. I also know how awful it is to experience being hospitalized and having needles because this happened to me when I was younger with stomach problems. This made me feel so bad for her, so I wanted to figure out how to help. Running is part of what my family does, so I decided I wanted to do a road race fundraiser. Her bravery inspired me to do two races to raise money, a 5K and a half marathon. I got some friends, and Eden's brother, Gavin to help with this charity. I just knew I needed to help Eden because I want her to be healthy and have a great life. I hope a lot of people contribute to this fight against leukemia and mostly to help Eden.
