Hi, thank you for taking the time to read about this precious baby, about 9 weeks old. She was found in the middle of the road in Mt. Carmel, PA. No house in sight to know where she came from. She had frozen feet and what appears to be burns from tar. The tar was stuck in her fur, feet, and mostly her face. I took her to the emergency vet on Sunday night when she was brought to me. I cried as soon as I saw her. This poor girl. On the way to Quakertown, I was petting her and she started to purr. That told me she wanted to live and despite what the vet suggested, I was not gonna give up on her. The estimate was 3 to 5 thousand. I chose a different route. Since I am not affiliated with a rescue, I pay for the bills myself. I asked for meds for her upper respiratory infection and pain meds. I was able to get 2 doses in her before a visit to my usual vet on Monday morning. I don't know what I would do without Perkiomen Animal Hospital. They are the best! They gave her 2 medicated baths, fluids, and they were able to get all the tar off her face to reveal her eyes that were infected. She will have a lot of healing, but she is eating like a champ and takes getting ointment on her well and eye drops. We won't know the outcome of her eyes yet; it's too soon. Any donation is wonderful to put towards her bills so far the amount is $1300 I spent. Thank God for this precious little life and her will to survive. I named her Marshmellow.
