Help us fight Guglielmo's DIPG

I am the father of a wonderful 4 year old boy named Guglielmo, who has been recently diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive brain cancer in the cerebellum (DIPG) We are from Italy, and live in Florence, where we are currently attending the local Children's Hospital for treatment. However, the situation is very critical, as we have been told my son's tumor cannot be operated on. If we cannot stop it soon, he will not be able to recover. As you can understand we are desperate to find any solution possible. We know that U.S. hospitals are surely the best in the world and with the most expertise in these type of cases; because of that we have discovered a surgical opportunity that could sensibly reduce the bulk and that for sure is the only opportunity of survival. Medical care in Italy is 100% free, but the U.S. is the only place in the world where this surgical operation is possible - and that is incredibly expensive to fund. We are not so wealthy as to be able to afford the whole amount ourselves and we have no insurance cover. Because of this we are appealing for your help. Siamo italiani e viviamo a Firenze, attualmente siamo in cura presso l'ospedale pediatrico Meyer di Firenze. La situazione è veramente critica in quanto ci è stato detto che tale tumore non puo essere operato. E se non possiamo fermarlo rapidamente certamente non ce la fare . Come potete ben comprendere siamo disperatamente in cerca di una soluzione e sappiamo che negli stati uniti si trovano i migliori ospedali al mondo con i massimi esperti in questo tipo di casi, infatti abbiamo trovato la, la possibilità di un intervento chirurgico che puo sensibilmente ridurre la massa tumorale e che certamente può garantire buone chance di sopravvivenza. Le cure mediche in italia sono totalmente gratis, ma gli stati uniti sono l'unico posto al mondo dove questo tipo di chirurgia è possibile. Questo intervento ha un costoso incredibilmente alto da affrontare.
