marching to stop the "violence"

dear family and friends....i am requesting your "help" in my goals of reaching $1,000.00 in the various stop the violence campaigns in the chicagoland and joliet areas. in the month of may, i am participating in the m.a.d.d. (mother's against drunk driver's) forum speaking on my experiences with drunk drivers during my 22 years in law enforcement. in the month of june, from the 6th-8th, i will be raising funds for the nphcc - (national pan-hellinic council of chicago) in our stop the violence march on the southside of chicago in conjunction with chicago state university. the recent murder of the 14 year old tilden high school student killed on monday, april 28th, "personally" affected a member of my family. in the month of september, i will renew my commitment to the "real men read" mentorship program at park manor elementary school where i also raise funds for school uniforms for the youth who's parent can't afford the entire cost and in the month of october, i am co-chairing the stop the violence project in the joliet/south suburban areas in which we will donate funds to a domestic violence shelter for abused women. i "talk the talk" and "walk the walk" for many years, but i now realize i can't do it alone. if you can donate just $1.00, i would be grateful.
