Who are you, and why should I support your project?

My name is Bridget LaMonica. I am almost finished with my Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television at the Savannah College of Art & Design. Now it's time for me to shoot my thesis. The thesis film is a summation of what we've learned here and what we hope to accomplish in the future.

I am a cinematographer and Steadicam operator. I have also focused some of my time here on writing. My thesis utiltizes all three skills. I wrote the script, I'm the Director of Photography, and I will be the Steadicam operator. These are the skills I will bring into my future career.

I'm fighting a lot of odds here. In 2013, only 3% of cinematographers in the top grossing films were women. There are even fewer to speak of who count Steadicam as one of their skills. Although female writers faired a little better at 10%, women are still poorly represented in the film industry.

Let's work together to change that. 

So what's the film about?

Three soldiers on a mission in the woods discover a strange box in a desolate landscape that repeats time over and over. With the time repetition, amnesia takes over the soldiers as they repeat their actions. Johnson, a private, is the only one who starts to piece everything together when she discovers a message on the box in her own handwriting. Johnson must convince the others of the impending danger before the box opens and changes their world forever.

Where does the money go?

All donations help fund the purchase of authentic military uniforms and boots for three actors, props such as realistic weapons military accessories, and props such as our mysterious box. We also need to feed the crew for five days. 

Film is an expensive business, but we've made strides to find the most price concious solutions without skimping on quality.
