Race against cancer!

Donation protected

As everyone that knows my grandma know's shes a huge fan of racing.... She is now in a race of her own, a race against cancer. January 31, 2018 she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Mastitis Colon Cancer the doctors at that time gave her 3 years to live with chemotherapy. Two weeks later she went back to the doctor so they could figure out a plan of attack  for her, unfortunately the doctor came back and told us that the cancer has spread faster than he originally thought and that she has 3 weeks to live. As anyone could imagine that was very hard to swallow, the doctors also told us she was not a candidate for surgery to be able to get the tumors removed because of the size of the number of tumors she had spreading through her body and how fast her cancer was accelerating. As many of you know we are Christ followers and are very strong in our faith. We know that grandma is still here today because of His grace and that God is the greatest physician of all time. In mid February grandma had  stoma surgery (bagging her colon) because one of her tumors was so large, it broke her pelvis bone in two different places. It is now April and we are extremely blessed that Grandma is still here with us. She has her good days and her bad days but lately it has been more bad than good. Grandma's body is struggling very hard to fight off this cancer and all the medicines. We looked into some other treatment options at Envita, Chipsa, and Cancer Centers of America. We had some appointments scheduled with them but to our disbelief each one of them requires cash up front. Grandma has medicare insurance but no supplements or other forms of insurance. None of these cancer places will accept her insurance alone, they all insist of money up front to even see her. Grandma's savings has been depleted within the last few months to the point she cannot even afford that is needed to be seen at any of these treatment centers. Our Grandfather and parents are liquidating everything possible as well as trying to come up with funds ASAP because we are truly in a race against time. As most of you know my family is not one to ever ask for handouts in fact I probably will be in some trouble once they find out that I am sharing this and asking for help from everyone, but that is okay I am willing to face that when I have to; in hopes that we can raise enough money to be able to walk grandma into one of those treatment centers hopefully in the next few weeks. I pray daily that they find a cure for cancer and that not one other family will have to go through this fight against cancer. If you find it in your heart to give please know we are eternally grateful.
