Airfare and Hotel for Acid Victim

Face Forward is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides reconstructive surgery for survivors of domestic violence. Our next patient is Hanifa, an acid victim from Uganda.
It is estimated that 1,500 acid attacks takes place every year around the globe, and an estimated 1.3 million women are victims of domestic violence each year.
Hanifa is 31 years old and the mother of two children. She has lost her nose, and right eye among other physical deformities after acid was thrown at her. Hanifa was picking up her children from her estranged husbands house (a University Professor), when acid was thrown on her. Their 18 month old daughter also fell on the acid after she heard her mother scream in pain.
Instead of hiding everyday, Hanifa has decided to be strong! Currently, Hanifa is an advocate officer for the Acid Survivors Foundation in Uganda. She graduated from Makerere University and is very articulate.

Face Forward is providing the surgery pro bono by our surgeon, and we also provide the nurse for aftercare, medication, surgery center fees, anatheseologist, transporation, counseling, airfare, and hotel accommodation. Typically our patients come from the United States and only stay 1 week for each surgery.
Hanifa's airfare will be more expensive as she is coming from Uganda, and she will be staying with us for two months to receive all of the surgeries needed to repair her face.
