Freeing Asher from JIA

We are raising money in order to cover the cost of the medication that is so desperately needed for Asher. Asher has been diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). JIA is an autoimmune disease that affects children and adolescents. It is also known as Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA). Like adult rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis causes chronic pain, stiffness, and swelling of the joints, and can lead to disability.
Time is of the essence and we are quickly running out of it. Every day that goes by that he doesn't receive treatment is one day closer to the inevitable crippling of his hands, feet and spine.
While we are waiting for our insurance to take over we are having to pay out of pocket the cost of the Ilaris medication ($19,000+) monthly. Please help us to bring some much needed peace and pain relief, for which he is yearning for.
We are hopeful that the insurance will be approved in the next few months but in the mean-time Asher is getting worse. With every day that passes he is in desperate pain and his joints are bending and locking into place without the hope of the progression becoming reversible.
If we are lucky enough to reach our goal and have a surplus of money after the insurance starts paying the difference we will still continue to use the money raised to search for therapies over and beyond the medication. Such as ultra-light therapy, water therapies and if it gets worse, physical therapies.

As most of you know the Bennett Family is strong, Asher being born at 28 weeks and spending over 40 days in the NICU, and Preston being born at 33 weeks...the Bennetts have persevered and will overcome this and will continue to fight.
