100 Mile Walk for Tanzania

I am raising money to fund a community project trip to Tanzania, which will take place in 2015. Every student needs to raise the money themselves as part of the trip - in total £2,700 - so in order to raise part of the funds, myself and two friends have decided to organise a sponsored walk. We will be walking 100 miles across the South Downs in just 4 days. The three of us will be walking together, camping overnight and carrying our own equipment. The cumulative ascent is the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest and an average of 25 miles each day is going to be really tough. This is a huge challenge and one which we hope will inspire people to sponor us: if it's too easy, it's not worth sponsoring us, so we have made it difficult!

The Tanzania trip is a hugely worthwhile experience and a fantastic opportunity. We will get to see a little of the country but the main focus of the trip is to help in a community project for a local village, making a difference to local people and that's what I am really excited about.

If you would like to sponsor me, I would be really really grateful!
