Ka'Vyea "Buddha" Tyson-Curry my 10 year old grandson was shot twice as he sat in the passenger seat at a gas station pump here in Kansas City. A stop for candy and a quick fillup was caught on tape as a gunman appeared out of the shadows and opened fire.
Buddha's father Ka'Vyea (KC) Curry was fatally wounded after being shot in the head, he died at the scene in front of my grandson.
While Buddha laid there helpless from a bullet that damaged his spinal cord, bystanders and witnesses peered into the car and cowardly drove away. If not for an Angel, Ms. Ashley Kemp who heard the gunshots as she was driving by and returned to the scene, our Buddha would have laid there alone until parametics arrived some 12 to 15 minutes later. Ashley is our Angel and I've adopted her as my 3rd daughter.
Our Buddha has a long road to recovery. He's so strong and I truly believe he's up for the task. With your help and support he will be able to concentrate on getting well physically and psychologically.
We've had such an overwhelming response of well wishers and supporters, and for that we are truly greatful. This gofundme account was setup specifically to help Buddha's mom, my daughter Tanesha prepare for an uncertain future as Buddha recovers from his injuries.
