Boston College Law School Tuition

Donation protected
Dear family, friends, colleagues, and mentors:

From the age of 12, I dreamed of becoming an attorney. Now I am sitting on the edge of my dream. I was accepted to Boston College Law School in Massachusetts. I really feel that God has a hand on my life. With the unconditional support of my family, I reached a milestone that I know is a blessing from God. Paying for the first year of Law School is a huge challenge as the total price of attendance is $66,536. I have been blessed with a partial scholarship that will help pay a portion of my tuition in my first year. Due to the scarcity of scholarships for first year law students, I will continue to save money, seek out additional funding sources and get loans to cover my tuition.

It has been six years since I graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) as a first generation college student. In that time I have earned a Master's degree in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, and Peacebuilding. This program's focus on alternative dispute resolution (ADR), further confirmed my commitment to become a lawyer as I discovered my passion for empowering others to amicably resolve their differences.

In my present role as a Youth Services Coordinator at two public middle schools, I am profoundly aware of the value that mediation offers parties in conflict. Providing my students with the tools to resolve their conflicts with civility, instead of resorting to the unfortunate norm of "Hit first, answer questions if caught," has also reinforced my interest in using a law degree to further serve many of our underserved youth population.

I am especially excited about the opportunity to study at Boston College Law School because the school's commitment to social justice is consistent with my own and being able to study at a university that supports this ideal as their core principle is important to me.

It seems that everything in my life up to this moment has led me to law school. Any support you may be able to offer will be a blessing and gift I receive with the most gratitude.

Thank you for your support and consideration.

Love,

Danielle Angela Reyes
