David Scott Buxton, 53, of Pleasant Grove, UT, passed away suddenly and peacefully on the morning of April 25, 2014 at home, the morning of his birthday. David was born in Preston, ID to Val and Jeanne Ann Buxton.
David served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Seoul, Korea. He was faithful in his service to the Lord and held many callings throughout his life. He graduated from Brigham Young University. David loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to find a good movie that no one had ever heard of and enjoyed a good football game. David was patient, kind and wonderful. He always had a smile, and has been fun and wonderful every minute of his life. He brought peace and a sound mind to his family. He was an incredibly talented and loving person. He had a firm trust and faith in Heavenly Father. He was a master piano player and would often play for the family and community. The music is softer now, a good and gentle friend departed these lands for the eternal worlds. His music kindled the lower lights, and now adds to the warmth of heaven's rays.
David is survived by his best friend and wife of 30 years, Deanna of Pleasant Grove. She is the love of his life. He was a loving and proud father of his four children; Erin (Adam) Miner and their three children Milo, Logan and Reagan of Orem; Scott (Charelle Andreason) Buxton and their child Kainen of Provo; Lani Buxton, currently serving an LDS mission in Maine; and Sam Buxton, a recent Eagle Scout recipient and graduate with an associate's degree from Utah Valley University. He is also survived by his 5 siblings and their families, Cathy (Brent) Croxton, Mike (Debra), Joel (Pamela), Brad, and Matt (Grace). He is missed by his wonderful parents, Val and Jeanne Ann of Orem. He left this life too soon, but we all await that beautiful day when we will see him again.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the LDS Chapel located at 1222 Nathaniel Drive, Pleasant Grove, Utah where a viewing will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and prior to services from 9:45 to 10:45 am.
