BENI WANTS TO BE ABLE TO WALK & RUN

Beni was born with a severe congenital defect in both hind legs.
When we first saw this little guy (3 lbs), we fell in love with him immediately. He was struggling to walk and he was trying to run an play despite falling down because of his wobbly back legs. (I've always been a soft touch.)
We thought he had what is called stage 4 luxating patellas. We figured we could cover the cost of that surgery which was 1,400.00....we could borrow.
When the x-rays were taken it turned out the surgery required was beyond our vets expertise (both rear legs femur and patella and tiba are deformed) far more severe than we could imagine. He sent us to an orthopedic specialist. As you can see in his x-ray both his femurs are horribly bowed and he has no groove in the patella for the femur to seat properly, and on top of that his Tibia bows in the opposite direction. This is causing his muscles to tighten, and as his bones develop further they will bow even more. It is major surgery to correct this and enable him to walk normally and not be in terrible pain in about a year.
Beni is only 6 months old and the procedure must be done before he is one year old or it will be to late, actually the sooner the better for him because as more time goes by his poor legs bow even worse. We are also going to neuter him at the same time.
We are not comfortable asking folks to help, but it is not for us, but for this little guy and we cannot borrow that much money and therefore are asking for your kindness to help, and donate what you can.
We are paying for part of the cost in the amount of $1,400.00. We need help in making up the difference of $4,775.00
