Youth on Missions

For those of you who know him, my son Joe has always had a heart and felt a calling for missions.  In his own words, sometimes God just opens and closes doors, and things you never expected quickly fall into place.  Joe has unexpectedly been offered the last minute opportunity to go on a Youth on Missions trip in June.  He was offered the last spot available because of a cancellation which we discovered by a seemingly random phone call.  He has also been blessed with a partial sponsorship for the trip.

The 10 day trip is to the Hawaiian Islands, which is known as the "forgotten mission field."  If you know Rick and Laurie Tessno, pastors in Kauai, HI from New Life Austin, you know how true that statement is.  Joe will be traveling with 70 other young people from across the US under the leadership of Pastor Mark Hattabaugh of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  They will conduct crusades, street ministry, visit churches and attend and work in youth camp.
