Medical & living expenses

My lifelong and dearest friend, Marian Smith has recently had a life altering tragedy happen to her family.  Her husband was in a terrible auto accident on his way to work Friday, April 25th. 

While his family is still very blessed to have him here with them, Scott sustained injuries to his spine that are going to cause him to be out of work for a substantial period of time.

Scott's doctors have reported that he has a burst vertebrae fracture on his L1 and fragments of the vertebrae are surrounding his spinal cord.  His neurologist says that Scott's condition is on the border of stable/unstable.  Surgery for this kind of injury would be very invasive.  Instead of surgery they are going to try a back brace & physical therapy in the hopes that the injury will heal on its own.  His spine will be monitored through MRI's to make sure the vertebrae does not collapse.  If it heals as is, his neurosurgeon believes Scott will be better in 3-4 months (at the very least).
 
Scott & Marian have 3 amazing boys to support during this time of healing.  Scott worked a full time job in addition to owning Legacy Plumbing to support his family of 5.  Marian has had the full time mommy career for her 3 boys, works a part time job, is PTO President for the Mabank Junior High, and has been attending school full time in which she will graduate with her Associates in May.
