Funds needed for creating a Yoga Center for our town.
I moved back to my hometown of Dahlonega Ga almost 3 years ago. About 8 months after living here I realized that Yoga was seriously needed and wanted so I decided to live my dream of owning a Yoga studio. In just two years we have gone from 347 sq feet to 1000 sq feet. Three monthly members to over 20 monthly members and from 3-5 drop in students to over 30 drop in students. (All of which has been in a 137 year old historic building with no insulation in the ceiling and walls and that leaks water when it rains and floods the studio.) The images you see are in the OLD location, just imagine what we can do in the NEW location!
Just recently I signed a lease on a building that is over 2000 sq feet and it's here that I want to take my little one woman studio to the next level. A full fledged Yoga Center. I envision a Yoga center that offers up to 40 classes per week, has an on sight massage therapist, a small Yoga boutique as well as a space for Aerial Yoga. The Center will also have a check in area and a place to store items during class, a tea area for students to linger and chat after class.
This center will not only benefit the local Yoga community that is growing but it would also become a destination for Yoga workshop attendees and visitors to our town. Needless to say, this all creates an economic ripple effect in our community. We all benefit from every dollar spent in our hometown!
Ultimately, stage is set for something really amazing to happen and this is why I need the money to bring it into reality. I do not want to do any of this half way. I understand that you may not want to donate money so I have included a wish list of items. Some of these items are obvious needs such as more aerial hammocks but other items like the water fountain are needed in order to lower our carbon footprint. I intend for the Yoga Center to be as "green" as possible and in just one year I have gone through more than 1000 plastic bottles of water. It would be amazing to be able to just refill your own reusable bottle:)
Although I grew up here, I have trained all over the country . My certification is from Asheville Yoga Center but through my many travels and experiences with other teachers, studios and retreats I have noticed what people have created and I truly know in my heart that I am here in Dahlonega GA to create this Yoga center.
I have had many careers and I have a broad range of international skills but honestly all I have every truly wanted to do was teach Yoga. I believe that this Yoga Center could become a wonderful light in our community. We have such an amazing home and the more exposure that we bring to our beautiful hometown of gold, then the brighter we shine in the world.
Please help me to create the North Georgia Yoga Center. Any donation is greatly appreciated. Just think. If we can get 8000 people to just donate one dollar we can do this. Please share with anyone and everyone and again thank you for your donation, support and faith in my drea
