Holiday Gift Giving 2022

Finical hardships can be an issue all year long. However, families feel the impact the most during the holiday months as they try to balance the need to heat their homes, feed their families, and the ability to celebrate the holidays. Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine Inc. & The Kinship Program (AFFM) has partnered with several organizations in the past to meet the needs of children and families through the holiday season. Last season, AFFM provided gifts for over 1,000 children. This year AFFM anticipates over 1,100 requests and can use your help to bring smiles to children's faces. For many children who have experienced trauma, grief, and loss the holidays can be a reminder of their unpleasant past experiences. Providing them with a gift can help them make their holiday experiences a little more positive. In addition, any help support that we can provide to alleviate financial stressors for the child's caregivers will help the caregivers be a little more present so they can be the best versions of themselves and support the children during their difficult times.
