Mind the Gap - Help RP Study in London

I'm Ryan-Patrick and I have been accepted to study abroad this summer with SMU-in-London:Arts a five week program where I will be studying English Theatre and London as Performance from May 25th "“ June 28th. While in London I will also be doing research for a solo performance piece I am writing and possibly academic research about the intersections of gender expression and city structure. I am incredibly excited about this trip to London not only because of the courses I'll be taking and research I'll be doing but also because it will be my first time leaving the country! "¨"¨Though I have been very fortunate to receive financial aid and research grant money from the University and have taken out a loan of my own it does not cover everything. "¨

What Research? What Grants? "¨
I have received an Engaged Learning Fellowship, "SMU's most prestigious student engagement program", which will help to fund research for a solo performance I am writing that explores the ways Londoners experience and express gender identity. As a part of my Engaged Learning Fellowship my research and solo performance will be published. (Which is cooler than I can handle!)

"¨"¨I am also a candidate for the SMU Summer Research Assistantship where, through a Performance Studies lens, I will create a visual resource database and conduct a series of interviews, that I will use to investigate the intersections of gender expression and city structure.
