Kate's Emergency in Thailand

Goal achieved! Thank you so much to everyone who helped make the above smile a reality. A week ago I was one scared parent. Today I am filled wiht relief and gratitude. She still has healing to do and some discommfort to go through but the worst is behind us. Thanks again to all.

On April 23rd, my daughter Kate and her traveling companion arrived in Thailand for the final two months of their world wide adventure. To follow their adventures check out their blog herre ---> http://www.throwtheshrimp.com/p/food.htmls

A few hours after arrival in Thailand, Kate passed out and had a grand mal seizure. When she fell, she landed on her chin and injured her mouth very badly; she broke off four front teeth, and it is currently unknown if other things are broken.

She was taken by ambulance to get medical care. The medical staff who treated her advised her to obtain a CAT scan and seek further medical treatment at the Bangkok Hospital. She has an appointment for a CAT scan, x-ray and evaluation in just a few more hours. Monday she has a consult with an oral surgeon.

The medical expenses are draining what little travel fund they had remaining. Thailand has very reasonably priced medical care, however CAT scans, x-rays, medication and capped teeth could/will drain their already depleted travel fund.

Please send what you can to support my kiddo in obtaining the medical care she needs to ensure her safety and repair her front teeth. This support will allow she and her companion to complete the adventure they set out to have. In the end hopefully this experience will be just one more adventure as Two Kids Wander the World Together.
