Angel Taylor Barrett

Taylor Barrett is 4 years old living with Angelman Syndrome. It is a very rare genetic disorder that affects 1:15000 children. There is no known cure. Early Intervention is the key.The diagnosis consist of absent speech, epilepsy, constant movement, developmental delays, lack of sleep and an going care system. 
 Taylor receives services at his school Harris Hillman This is a daily schedule of therapies. Which includes speech, physical therapy and occupational therapy. Speech is to assist him with picture communication and using the IPAD to identify his needs and wants. Occuaptional focuses on his fine motor skills. One of his particular goals is to  help feed himself. Physical therapy is to help him walk down one step at a time. unassisted.
 Currently we are raising money to assist with his sleeping arraingments. There is a Sleep Safety bed that we would like to purchase for him. It will allow him to sleep saefely in this bed when we are traveling on a family vacation or if he visits family overnight. There are many days when we need to order special needs equipment and medications for him and insurance will not cover it.
