Mission Trip to Guatemala

Amanda & Mike are going to Guatemala !
As you are aware, there are so many areas of our world that are in incredible need. One of those areas is in the country of Guatemala. Our church, West Pines Community Church, has partnered with Compassion International to try and meet some of those needs. We sent teams there in 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and were able to spend a whole week ministering to the people of Guatemala and building relationships with children who live well below the poverty level. We were able to bring the gospel to them as well as meet some of their physical needs.
On August 4-August 6, we will be traveling to Guatemala to work in a Compassion project that is in desperate need of our assistance. During our upcoming trip, we will be providing help to the project that compassion has selected as having the greatest need "“ conducting a Vacation Bible School (VBS), as well as providing critically needed construction and repairs to the facility. We feel called to travel to Guatemala to assist these children. These boys and girls need us to reach out to them. The areas that they live in do not offer much help to bring families out of poverty. The options for these children as they grow are limited and quite frankly scary. There is no difference in God's eyes with these children and our own children, grandchildren, students, and young loved ones. Because of this reason, we feel called to go and be with them.
I would like to ask you to do two things to help me serve these children:
1. Pray for our team, the children, and their on-going needs to be met.
2. Please consider donating financially to support me in the cost of the trip and to help provide for the children.
If you are able to provide financial support, all monies given are tax deductible and you will receive a giving statement from West Pines Community Church at the end of the 2014-year. In order to receive the tax-deductible status, you will need to make the check out to West Pines Community Church. Make sure your proper address is on the check, and please put our names (Michael & Amanda Kopicki) and the words "Guatemala Missions" in the memo section.
