Hope for Leslie

Hi my name is Leslie. In 2007 I was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition, Pseudotumor Cerebri, that causes severe headaches due to high intracranial pressure. This almost caused me to lose my vision, however I was fortunate enough to have a relatively quick fix to restore me to being a functional member of society.

In 2012, my "quick fix" began to fail due to a second rare neurological condition, Chiari Malformation, that is greatly affected by my Psuedotumor Cerebri in an unfortunate manner. From October 2012 through January 2014, I have had a total of 11 major surgeries to attempt to fix this battle between these two rare neurological conditions. I am now preparing to undergo my 13th major surgery on Monday, April 28,2014. Unfortunately, I will continue to be unable to provide any contribution to my family financially.

I am a Christian woman who loves helping others whenever I can. I am a Physical Therapist Assistant where I help people gain functional skills back when they lose them due to health problems or accidents and I absolutely love it! My family includes my wonderful husband, Paul, and our 2 beautiful daughters Anna (8) and Olivia (1). Any help you could provide will be used appropriately, as we are simply attempting to eliminate medical bills and stay afloat during this trying time, as our savings has been depleted.

I'm hoping the end of this journey is near, and my doctors can figure out how to make this pain stop for me. I love to exercise and being active with my children, I also love my active job as well. Thank you all for your consideration and thoughts. God bless.
