kane the bullmastiff

my boyfriend sean and i, adopted kane two months ago from the boston k9 rescue. kane is a very loving, loyal, and playful 2-year old puppy dog. this is our first dog together, and he's like our own kid. as a gay couple we realize we may never have a real child so we spoil kane like he is a child. we take lots of pictures of him.. feed him too many treats.. and of course many trips to the dog park so he can play with other puppy's. as any animal owner would relate to, kane is our world - and we love him very much. Upon adoption, we did not realize how much kane loved to eat socks and other forms of clothing.. we tried our best to keep the floor completely clean from anything. however, this tuesday - 4/22/2014 - we noticed kane stopped eating his treats (kane always loves his treats).. we figuere it was just something mild. but on wednesday kane didn't eat anything, our baby couldn't even keep water down. this continued into thursday, so my partner sean decided to take him to the vets, and they discovered an international blockage. kane needs surgery, which is anywhere from 4000-5000$. as any hardworking, middle-class family.. we don't plan for emergencies like this to arise. at this point in time, anything at all would help. please remember kane is our baby, and our world - and we love him very much. thank you.
