Help Bring Christmas to Taray

Sonco Wasi (House of Heart) is a small non-profit organization based in Taray, Peru. Sonco Wasi runs an after-school program for underprivileged kids. For years, we have been working with the community to address problems and to provide better lives for these children.

For many of these kids, before we started working in Taray, they didn't get a chance to celebrate holidays like their birthdays and Christmas, they didn't know who Santa Claus was, and they had never unwrapped a present before.

Every year, our goal is to make the holiday season as magical as it can be for them. This is more than just a party. This reminds the kids how important they are, and that they are loved. This year especially, during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is harder than every to provide support in this community. Resources are slim, and Sonco Wasi is one of the only outlets for these kids and their families. This year, all donations will go towards food and small gifts for the families, as a large party isn't possible.
