Help My Mom with Medical Expenses
Hi all. Family knows me as Estrella, but most others know me as Star. I'm here to try and raise money for my dear ma, who unfortunately suffered a freak accident earlier this week. She was at work on Monday morning 1/4/2021, when she slipped and ended up fracturing both her left tibia and fibula. She was taken via EMS to a nearby hospital and subsequent emergency surgery took place that same night. She ended up having two rods, along with screws placed in her left lower leg, but thankfully the procedure was successful. She was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday morning 1/6/2021, and has been resting at home since. Her recovery will be long and difficult, but if she can beat breast cancer's a$$, she can conquer anything!
As most of you know, my mom is the hardest worker in the room. Ever since my sisters and I were little (Ehren too), she has always worked tremendously hard to provide for her family. We have all seen how her dream of owning her own pastelería (La Guadalupana Bakery — since opening in March 2007) is what she holds near and dear to her heart.
She never complains and is always the first to help others, especially financially. She has no idea I'm doing this for her, but I know how much she is hurting right now (physically, emotionally, spiritually). I'm hoping that asking all of you for help with any amount of donations you can give her, will just make her more at ease with everything that has happened. These donations will all go towards her medical expenses including, but not limited to the following: EMS ride, emergency surgery, hospital stay, specialist followups, equipment (walker, WC, boot), therapy sessions, and many other things down the road.
She would genuinely appreciate anything, so please do not feel pressured to help her out financially. She would absolutely love calls & texts, FB messages, flowers, cards, a quick visit, meals, and anything else you can think of.
